Recently, according to domestic media reports, Chery will launch a new new energy vehicle brand in the third quarter of this year. The brand name may be "Yueji" and the first model will be officially launched by the end of the year.

It is understood that Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. has successively applied for registration of the "Yueji" trademark since January 18. The international classification is Class 12, transportation means. We also saw this LOGO design from Trademark.com, which looks a bit like the interaction of two spaces.

According to people familiar with the matter, Chery has been planning this new brand for about a year. Its first model, code-named T1GC, is a hybrid compact SUV that will be equipped with the iFlytek Spark large model and equipped with Chery's latest chassis. Currently, Chery R&D Institute is conducting an open bidding for T1GC parts suppliers such as front bumper body injection molds and rear bumper body injection molds.

In addition, Chery's O&J Division will be responsible for the design, R&D and marketing of the new brand. Moreover, the brand has started investment promotion work, and the urban store planning consists of a full-function store + multiple experience centers.

At present, Chery has deployed multiple new energy brands and series such as iCAR, Zhijie, and Star Era, and is fully committed to impacting the new energy vehicle market. Yin Tongyue, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Chery Holding Group, once said that in 2024, he will no longer be polite and will enter the top position in the new energy vehicle rankings.
