Recently, the official images of the new Land Rover Defender have been officially released. The overall design of the new vehicle has not changed much, with only some adjustments made to certain details. Meanwhile, the interior configuration and other aspects have been upgraded and optimized. The starting price of the new vehicle overseas is £57,135 (approximately 554,400 yuan).
Exterior. For the exterior, the new Land Rover Defender still features a rectangular headlight design paired with semi-circular LED daytime running lights. The internal lighting unit design has been slightly fine-tuned, with a smaller size, and can project unique patterns when turned on. In addition, the new vehicle comes standard with a bright black grille in the front, and the front bumper can be chosen in silver or satin gray.
Side. View From the side, the new vehicle continues the classic styling of the Land Rover Defender. The 110 version adopts a four-door design, featuring wide front and rear side fenders, along with five-spoke wheels and multi-piston brake calipers. The body dimensions remain unchanged, with a length, width, and height of 5018/2105/1967 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 3022 mm.
Rear View. At the rear, the taillight group of the new vehicle still adopts the classic four-rectangle design, but the overall color of the lamp shell has been updated to a smoked color. The new vehicle is equipped with a full-size spare tire mounted externally at the rear, and the rear bumper also offers a choice between silver and satin gray.
Interior. In terms of the interior, the overall layout of the new vehicle has not changed much. It still comes with a full liquid crystal instrument panel and a three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel. The multimedia display screen in the middle of the center console has been upgraded from 11.4 inches to 13.1 inches. Meanwhile, the new vehicle has added a driver monitoring system. This monitoring system complies with the EU GSR2 regulations. If the driver is detected not paying attention to the road ahead, it will trigger audio and video alarms. However, the driver assistance can be set to disabled in the options on the center console screen. In addition, Land Rover's adaptive off-road cruise control system is also being offered for the first time on the Land Rover Defender as an optional feature.
Powertrain. It is expected that there will not be too many changes in terms of power. The new vehicle will be equipped with a 3.0T twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engine, a 2.0T plug-in hybrid powertrain, and a 5.0T supercharged gasoline V8 engine. The flagship model OCTA is still on sale, and this model is equipped with a 4.4T twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
