On May 1, we learned from the official source of FAW-Volkswagen Group that its sales volume in April reached 113,406 vehicles, with the market share of fuel-powered vehicles increasing by 0.4 percentage points year-on-year. Among them, the Volkswagen brand sold 68,001 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 7.9%, and the market share of its fuel-powered vehicles increased by 0.7 percentage points year-on-year; the Audi brand sold 36,900 vehicles (including imported cars). From January to April, it ranked first in the cumulative market share of domestic luxury fuel-powered vehicles; the Jetta brand sold 8,505 vehicles.
Not long ago, the FAW-Volkswagen ID. AURA concept car made its debut. It is the first concept car of Volkswagen based on the brand-new compact core platform (CMP). Positioned as a pure electric compact sedan, it targets young Chinese families. Relying on the Volkswagen CEA architecture, it brings an intelligent digital cockpit, offering a more intelligent connected experience and faster response speed.
In terms of appearance, the new car features a closed front grille. The design of the through-type LED light strip is extremely sharp, and the Volkswagen logo in the middle can be lit up. The lower part of the front bumper is equipped with an air intake and a design of three LED light strips, further enhancing the sporty attribute. From the side of the vehicle, the new car has smooth and sleek roof lines, reminiscent of the Porsche Taycan. The rear of the car is equipped with LED taillights composed of multiple light strips, and the design is full of a sense of technology. In terms of power, the new car will be powered by electricity, and the specific power parameters are yet to be announced.
